Class Evaluation

Class Evaluation:
  1. The things that i liked about this class is the fact that there are lots of new things that we learn throughout the days of class.Another thing will be Mr.Haymore CTR speeches.
  2. I really did not have that many things that i disliked in this class.
  3. I wouldn't recommend anything to improve the class.
  4. The highlight for me in this class would be when we read out goals and when we write in our electronic portfolios
  5. I really tried to do my best in this class because it was a very informative class because of the new things that i learned when we would have that class.
  6. I am actually a little on and off with reading my life planning goals just because i have been busy and couldn't really have time to read them,
  7. I actually am committed to be a ctr person because i have already experienced how i am being a ctw person and its something that did affect me but also my parents and family and i never wan that to happen again.
  8. I ,learned a variety of things in this class and i will teach the things and benefits to my siblings and other people because they are really important to life.
  9. What i will always remember about this class is Mr.Haymores Speeches on Choosing the Right(CTR) because he would always mention it all the time we would have him for class.

"You will go far with CTR"
Mr.Haymore
Reflection: What it means that we will go far with ctr is that if we choose the right all the time at the good time than we will move up in a positive direction and in a positive perspection. we have the chance to choose the right but most of us won't even bother because it takes to much work but that is that chance to take because the great things are worth working for. I will always remember the abbreviation  CTR it is a positive thing to remember.

Becoming Your Best: The 12 Principles of Highly Successful Leaders

Becoming Your Best:
The 12 Principles of Highly Successful Leaders
1. Be true to character
Reflection: What this principle means to me is to be true to yourself and to be true about your character because who wants to be with a person that lies about themselves just for the pleasure of it. An example of how to be true to character is when you meet a new person and you try to be everything you aren't and you're not being true to your own character.
Quote: " The hardest thing to do is to be true to yourself, especially when everybody is watching."
 Dave Chappelle
Be true to yourself, help others, make each day your masterpiece, make friendship a fine art, drink deeply from good books - especially the Bible, build a shelter against a rainy day, give thanks for your blessings and pray for guidance every day."
John Wooden
2. Use your Imagination

Reflection; What it means to use your imagination is to be creative and out their with your own imagination because that is something that can identify what type of person and what type of creative character your person has. An example of how to use your imagination is when the going gets tough and your imagination is a little bit of a hope that you have in yourself. Imagination means the ability to form new images and sensations in the mind that are not perceived through senses such as sight, hearing, or other senses.
Quote; " Logic will get you from A to B. Imagination will take you everywhere."
 Albert Einstein
Vision is the true creative rhythm."
 Robert Delaunay

3. Apply power of knowledge

Reflection: What it means to apply the power of knowledge is to helps us make informed decisions and to be smart about it to because if we don't apply the power of knowledge where would we be in order of the situation. "knowledge is power. You can't begin a career, for that matter even a relationship, unless you know everything there is to know about it."
Randeep Hooda

Quote: "Knowledge is power, if you know it about the right person." Ethel Watts Mumford

4. Never give up
5, Find peace and balance

Reflection: What it means to find peace and balance is to find a way to balance your life the most positive way you can. A way i can apply this to my life is by choosing the choices i make more wisely because it will determine my peace and balance.
6. Live the Golden Rule
Reflection: What living by the golden rule means is to live by the important positive rule  that you have for yourself. The golden rule is a rule that you find very close to like for example treat others how you want to be treated. The golden rules are the basic foundation that one needs to progress in to a positive person. The golden rule is like the key to success without it there is bad in the future. Integrity, ethics, morals, principles etc all has to do with the golden rule.

Quote: " The golden rule for every business man is this: 'Put yourself in your customer's place." Orison Swett Marden

7. Build and maintain trust
Reflection: What it means by to build and maintain trust is basically that it's important to have that trust communication with another human. But it also means that you building trust is the first step with you to having another special person in your life that you will have the ability to trust. AN example of to build and maintain trust is when you make a new friend and you do anything you possibly can in your power to make them trust you in a healthy matter, but an example of you building a trust and not able to maintain it and just let it fall apart if a different story. A way that i will apply this to my life is when i meet new people or try to amend my broken relationships with other people is to always build and maintain trust.

Quote: "It takes two to do the trust tango--the one who risks (the trustor) and the one who is trustworthy (the trustee); each must play their role."
Charles H. Green

8. Quick to listen slow to wrath
Reflection: What this means to me is that you are a good or great listener but when the listing has taken a bad turn and you heard or listed to something uncalled for you do not immediately attack or get all offensive. This is another way of just saying think before you speak because that is what you have to do in a good or bad situation. Another saying would be be sure to taste your words before they come out your mouth. I will learn to apply this to my every day life in a very positive manner because lately there has been no positive thing in my life.

Quote: "My dear brothers and sisters, take note of this: Everyone should be quick to listen, slow to speak and slow to become angry."
James 1:19
9. Lead with vision

Reflection: I believe what it means to lead with vision is you have to in order to lead you have to have a visual idea on what and why are you leading because with out a vision what will or are you going to lead? An example of not leading with a clear vision on what you want to lead is say you really believe in a rights to every living person and things and you want to protest that for a good cause. so you just want to go in automatically with a strong fist but you dont realize that you do not have a clear vision on how to do it an you just went for it. with no clear vision you got in a mess were you do not know what to do.

Quote: " I'm most proud of the blessings that God has bestowed upon me, in my life. He's given me the vision to truly see that you can fall down, but you can still get back up. Hopefully I'll learn from my mistakes and have the opportunity to strengthen and improve the next thing I do."
Martin Lawrence
Do what matters the most
Reflection; What i believe that what it means to "do what matters the most" is like saying make time for what matters. All this means is to put the right and positive priorities first and then do whatever comes after. An example of do what matters the most and also make time for what matters is let's just say you are in a situation that you have to decide between doing your homework to keep your grades up or going out with friends and procrastinating to get the work done. There is a half and half chance that most people will choose going with friends or doing the homework but you have to do what matters the most.

Quote: " You don't truly have success if you don't have time to do what matters most."
Nicole Bandes
12.Be accountable
Reflection: A basic understanding on what the word accountable means you have to be aware and required to know what you are doing and also to justify decisions or actions.Being accountable is also in other words meaning responsible, liable, answerable, and culpable. Some antonyms are unaccountable, blameless, innocent, irresponsible, and unreliable. What makes all of these words have the same thing in common is they all have the brief definition of the word accountable. Two examples of being accountable and not being accountable is say you are working on a group project and every one is accountable for one section in your project. That means everyone has a responsibility.
Quote: "Understand, our police officers put their lives on the line for us every single day. They've got a tough job to do to maintain public safety and hold accountable those who break the law."
Barack Obama
REFLECTION

Write a final all-encompassing reflection about Becoming Your Best: The 12 Principles of Highly Successful Leaders".  How can they benefit you?  Which principle(s) are you applying now, and what difference is it making in your life? How will you incorporate the other principles into your Life Planning plans? How will you teach other people about the 12 principles
Reflection:
Away that these 12 Principles of Highly Successful Leaders will benefit me is i can teach them to my little five year old brother into making him grow up into a positive person and to let him have a positive set in mind. I can also teach other people how to use  12 Principles of Highly Successful Leaders so they can have a better understanding of things in life as well as in themselves. The principles that i will be applying right now will be Find peace and balance and Build and maintain trust because with these two they might be the most important ones in my opinion. They all have a very important meaning but for me these two stand out the most.Away that i will incorporate the other principles in my life is by really thinking to see if there is something other.

Ten Tips for Being More Truthful Barbara A. Lewis

Ten Tips for Being More Truthful
Barbara A. Lewis
The Ten Tips

#1.   Make a commitment to tell the truth.
#2.   Tell someone about your commitment.

Reflection: By making a commitment to tell the truth is a big deal for most people. Other people have a little bit of a different take on that, But for now lets just talk about the positive which is commitment to telling the truth. By committing your self to tell the truth is a big way of building the positive and a positive character. An example of making a commitment to tell the truth is when you find a missing phone and you take it but then the person who lost it comes asking if you found it by comminging you are telling the truth you are truth full and tell them you found the phone.  Telling someone about your commitment shows them that you are a trust worthy person and that you have great character on doing the right choices in life. Therefore making you a stronger and better person.

Quote: "Courage, sacrifice, determination, commitment, toughness, heart, talent, guts. That's what little girls are made of."

Bethany Hamilton

" The quality of a person's life is in direct proportion to their commitment to excellence, regardless of their chosen field of endeavor. Vince Lombardi

#3.     Think before you give a dishonest answer.
Reflection: What it means to think before you give a dishonest answer is to always tell the truth and to not be hesitant about it. An example of to think before you give a dishonest answer means like Pinocchio. He cant tell a dishonest answer because his noses grows and that shows he is being dishonest.  This Image on the right hand side explains the meaning of dishonesty. And dishonesty is not the right thing to do in any case no matter what the problem.
Quote:  "The greatest truth is honesty, and the greatest falsehood is dishonesty."
 Abu Bakr
"I don't want to lie. I dislike dishonesty. And I work in Hollywood, a town and a business that relies on a lot of falsehoods with people hiding behind different facades. I don't want to be a part of that."
 David Arquette
#4.   Be careful of when and how you use exaggeration, sarcasm, or irony.
Reflection:  What this tip for being more truthful means is to be cautious to what you say in front of people because you can really hurt a persons feelings by the way you use exaggeration, sarcasm, and irony. An example of   be careful of when and how you use exaggeration, sarcasm, or irony in a positive and a  negative matter is when you are talking to friends or family. when you are with friends you use lots of sarcasm and exaggeration and through that you have the thought in the bake of your head saying is it to much but you proceed. But when your with family you change.

Quote: Exaggeration:"All cartoon characters and fables must be exaggeration, caricatures. It is the very nature of fantasy and fable."
Walt Disney

Sarcasm: "I am suggesting that as we go through life, we 'accentuate the positive.' I am asking that we look a little deeper for the good, that we still our voices of insult and sarcasm, that we more generously compliment and endorse virtue and effort."
 Gordon B. Hinckley
Irony:"My book has a very simple surface, but there are layers of irony and paradox all the way through it."
 Mark Haddon
#5.  Be careful not to twist the truth or leave out part of it.

Reflection: What this means to me a is not to ever lave any important details in telling the truth. It also means to tell the whole truth with out twisting and leaving out any IMPORTANT details. If you do twist or manage to leave any important information out just to make yourself look better karma is going to return the favor twice as bad. An example of twisting the truth and or leaving out important details is lest say you are with your friends and one of your friends ask if you can take care of the phone and you dropped it because someone bumped into you because you were goofing off and the phone cracked. When your friend returns they are mad and you tell them that a person just came and dropped it. You don't tell then the truth that you it was also your fault they will find out eventually and karma is going to be worse.

Quote: "Forget the past. Accept your mistakes. Dare to speak the truth. Be honest to your commitment, and now life is ready to take off to the horizon you desire."
 Anil Sinha

#6     Don't indulge in little white lies.
Reflection: What it means by not indulge in little white lies is to not cave in to telling a little lie because eventually that lie can either expand or it can just lead in to a bigger problem. For a basic understanding the word indulge mean for  oneself to enjoy the pleasure of. But the whole phrase put together means you still tell a little lie but  it is meant to mislead people in another direction so they wont think its you in any case. An example of not to indulge in little white lies is when you are at home and you have younger siblings and lets say that you broke a plate and your parents asked who did it and you say that you little sibling had the plate last so they wont suspect its you. With that little white lie it leaded you to someone else getting in trouble.

Quote: "When we tell little white lies, we become progressively color-blind. It is better to remain silent than to mislead."
 James E. Faust
"White lies always introduce others of a darker complexion."
William S. Paley
# 7.   Watch out for silent lies.
lying quote
Reflection: What it means to watch out for silent lies is If you are to remain silent you are exercising your constitutional right. However, if a person knows something, they should feel some kind of responsibility to share their knowledge with someone else. And basicly means to just if you know something and you just hide it an lie in a silent matter. "He who permits himself to tell a lie once, finds it much easier to do it a second and third time, till at length it becomes habitual; he tells lies without attending to it, and truths without the world's believing him. This falsehood of the tongue leads to that of the heart, and in time depraves all its good dispositions."
THOMAS JEFFERSON,

Quote:  "You may tell the greatest lies and wear a brilliant disguise, but you can't escape the eyes of the one who sees right through you."
TOM ROBBINS

#8.    When you catch yourself lying, throw your mouth into reverse.

Reflection: What this means to me is when you are telling a lie you stop yourself and you do the right thing and you tell the truth. When you tell lies for a period of time you wont even realize you are telling a lie because of how much you do it. Most people think its necessary to tell a lie for the best because it might just cause the other person less of a reaction. When you are telling a lie but you realize that you are put a stop to it because it can just cause a greater consequence.  An example of telling a lie then putting your mouth in reverse is when you are talking to your mom and she asked how was the Math exam and you in your head are planing to lie and say you passed with an A but you didn't pass and you start to tell her a lie but you realize it is wrong and you tell the truth instead.

Quotes:  “I'm not upset that you lied to me, I'm upset that from now on I can't believe you.”
 Friedrich Nietzsche
“The reason I talk to myself is because I’m the only one whose answers I accept.”

―George Carlin
#9.     Talk to yourself.
Reflection: What it means to talk to yourself is when you are thinking to com up with a lie and you kinda have to stop and think saying why do want to lie when you know telling the truth is way better and safer. An example of talking to your self is when you are deciding when to lie but you think about it and you take the high road and you don't give into it because you let your conscience take a positive turn. talking to yourself to increase the performance and function of your brain. It is crazy not to talk to yourself because you would miss out on the benefits that come with self-talks.

Quote: “Self-talk reflects your innermost feelings.”
― Asa Don Brown
#10   Treat yourself when you tell the truth.

REFLECTION
Write a final all-encompassing reflection about the "Ten Tips for being More Truthful."
How can they benefit you?
Which tips are you applying now, and what difference is it making in your life?

How will you incorporate the other tips into your Life Planning Goals and plans?
Reflection: My final thought about the Ten tips on being more truthful is it has a strong impact on lost of people because of how informative it is on to be truthful even if the truth will hurt the other person. Away that the ten tips of being truthful can benefit me is to just always tell the truth cause i have been down the road were i just lie even for stupid reasons. The tips that i will apply strongly to my life is basically mostly every tip because they all have a positive benefit. I will try to have goals in my life that will have to do with the truth like an example is to tell the truth for a whole month straight. Or maybe even different sometimes.
